Building Description:
This single skin building is designed with practicality and functionality in mind, providing a reliable and versatile space for various purposes.
Dimensions: The building has dimensions of 4m x 5m x 2.5m to the eaves, offering a compact yet efficient interior space. The roof features a 10-degree pitch, allowing for effective water drainage and adding a touch of architectural style.
Doors: The building is equipped with a single manually operated roller door measuring 3000mm x 2100mm. This roller door allows convenient access for vehicles, equipment, or goods, providing ease of use and security.
Wall Detail: The walls are constructed using 24mm box profile wall cladding, ensuring a robust and durable single skin structure. The wall cladding is made of plastisol-coated steel sheeting, providing excellent resistance to weather elements and ensuring long-lasting performance.
Roof Detail: The roof is composed of 30mm box profile roof cladding in a single skin design. Similar to the walls, the roof cladding is made of plastisol-coated steel sheeting, offering durability and protection against external factors. The 10-degree pitch facilitates efficient water drainage, while an anti-condensation barrier helps prevent the buildup of condensation within the building. Skylights are integrated into the roof, allowing natural light to illuminate the interior during the day.
Rainwater Management: The building includes guttering and downpipes made of galvanized steel, which have been hot-dipped in a Plastisol coating. This coating enhances their durability and resistance to corrosion. The guttering and downpipes efficiently collect rainwater and direct it away from the building, ensuring proper drainage and preventing water-related issues.
Base, Eaves & Ridge Fillers: All necessary base, eaves, and ridge fillers are included with the building. These fillers play a vital role in sealing and insulating the building, minimizing drafts and potential weather-related concerns. They contribute to maintaining a comfortable and well-protected interior environment.
Fixings: The building package includes all necessary screws, including colored cap-less finishing screws, bolt sets, masonry anchors, screw caps, and brackets. These fixings are essential for the construction process, ensuring a secure and reliable assembly.
Framing: The building’s framework consists of cold-rolled Cee-section columns and rafters. Top-hat sections are used as purlins, enhancing the framework’s strength and stability. All framework components are made of hot-dipped galvanized steel, meeting the standards specified in BS EN 10346:2009 Fe E390G-Z275. The sections are designed in accordance with the guidelines outlined in BS EN 1993-1-3:2006, ensuring structural reliability through a combination of rational analysis and component testing.
