Building Description:
This single skin building offers a spacious and functional solution for various purposes, providing a secure and versatile space for your needs.
Dimensions: The building has dimensions of 12m x 25m x 4.2m to the eaves, offering a generous interior space. The roof features a 10-degree pitch, allowing for efficient water drainage and adding architectural appeal.
Doors: The building includes a 4000mm x 4000mm chain-operated heavy-duty Class 5 roller door, providing easy access for vehicles and large equipment. Additionally, there are two 12-point locking secure personnel access doors, ensuring controlled entry and enhanced security measures.
Windows: The building features four 2000mm x 1000mm clear glass windows made of white uPVC, along with one 1000mm x 1000mm clear glass window. All windows come with framing and flashings included, allowing ample natural light to enter the building while maintaining a pleasant interior environment.
Wall Detail: The walls are constructed using 24mm box profile wall cladding, providing a sturdy and durable single skin structure. The wall cladding consists of plastisol-coated steel sheeting, offering excellent weather resistance and protecting the building from external elements.
Roof Detail: The roof is made of 30mm box profile roof cladding, also in a single skin design. The roof cladding is constructed from plastisol-coated steel sheeting, ensuring durability and weather protection. The 10-degree pitch facilitates efficient water drainage, while the inclusion of an anti-condensation barrier helps prevent condensation buildup. Skylights are integrated into the roof, allowing natural light to illuminate the interior during the day.
Rainwater Management: Guttering and downpipes made of galvanized steel are provided, which are hot-dipped in a Plastisol coating. This coating enhances their durability and resistance to corrosion. The guttering and downpipes efficiently collect and redirect rainwater away from the building, ensuring proper drainage and preserving the structure.
Base, Eaves & Ridge Fillers: The building package includes all necessary base, eaves, and ridge fillers. These fillers play a crucial role in sealing and insulating the building, minimizing drafts and potential weather-related issues. They contribute to maintaining a comfortable and well-protected interior environment.
Fixings: All necessary screws, including colored cap-less finishing screws, bolt sets, masonry anchors, screw caps, and brackets, are supplied with the building. These fixings are essential for a secure and efficient construction process.
Framing: The building's framework is constructed from cold-rolled Cee-section columns and rafters. Top-hat sections are used as purlins, enhancing the framework's strength and stability. All framework components are hot-dipped galvanized steel, meeting the standards specified in BS EN 10346:2009 Fe E390G-Z275. The sections are designed in accordance with the guidelines outlined in BS EN 1993-1-3:2006, ensuring structural reliability through a combination of rational analysis and component testing.
