Building Description:
We are pleased to present a single skin building that meets your specifications. This building offers a spacious and versatile interior space suitable for various applications.
Dimensions:
The building has generous dimensions of 18m x 18m x 4.6m to the eaves, providing ample room for your needs. The 10-degree pitch roof ensures effective water drainage and sufficient overhead clearance.
Doors:
The building features two chain-operated heavy-duty Class 5 roller doors, each measuring 4000mm x 4000mm. These roller doors are designed to withstand demanding use and provide secure access for large vehicles and equipment. Additionally, a personnel access door equipped with a 12-point locking system is included, ensuring secure entry and exit for individuals.
Wall Detail:
The walls of the building are constructed using 24mm box profile wall cladding. This single skin cladding consists of plastisol coated steel sheeting, offering durability and protection against external elements. The plastisol coating enhances the wall’s resistance to weathering and extends its lifespan.
Roof Detail:
The roof is designed with 30mm box profile roof cladding, also utilizing a single skin construction. The roof cladding is made from plastisol coated steel sheeting, providing excellent weather resistance and protection. The 10-degree pitch allows for efficient water runoff. An anti-condensation barrier is integrated into the roof to prevent condensation buildup within the building. Skylights are included to introduce natural light into the interior, reducing the need for artificial lighting during the day.
Rainwater Management:
To effectively manage rainwater, the building is equipped with guttering and downpipes made from galvanized steel. These components are hot-dipped in a plastisol coating, ensuring corrosion resistance and durability. The guttering and downpipes collect rainwater and direct it away from the building, minimizing water-related issues and protecting the structure.
Base, Eaves & Ridge Fillers:
All necessary base, eaves, and ridge fillers are included with the building package. These fillers ensure proper sealing and insulation, preventing leaks, drafts, and other weather-related concerns. They contribute to a well-sealed and thermally efficient building.
Fixings:
The building package includes all necessary fixings such as screws (coloured cap-less finishing screws), bolt sets, masonry anchors, screw caps, and brackets required for the construction of the building. These fixings facilitate an efficient and secure assembly process.
Framing:
The building’s framework is constructed from cold-rolled Cee-section columns and rafters, providing robust support and stability. Top-hat sections are used as purlins, enhancing the structural integrity of the framework. All framework components are hot-dipped galvanized steel, conforming to the standards specified in BS EN 10346:2009 Fe E390G-Z275. The framework design follows the guidelines outlined in BS EN 1993-1-3:2006, utilizing a combination of rational analysis and component testing to ensure structural reliability and compliance.
