Building Description:
This single skin building is designed with practicality and functionality in mind. It features 3 roller doors and 1 personnel access door, making it versatile and easily accessible. The dimensions of the building are 7m x 15m x 3.6m to the eaves, with a 10-degree pitched roof.
Doors:
The building is equipped with 3 chain-operated roller doors, each measuring 3000mm x 3000mm. These roller doors provide convenient access for vehicles and larger equipment. Additionally, there is a secure personnel access door with a 12-point locking mechanism, ensuring safety and security.
Wall Detail:
The walls are constructed using 24mm box profile wall cladding, featuring a single skin design. The steel sheeting is coated with Plastisol, providing durability and protection against the elements. This ensures a sturdy and weather-resistant structure.
Roof Detail:
The roof is designed with 30mm box profile cladding, also in a single skin configuration. It has a 10-degree pitch to facilitate proper water drainage. To prevent condensation buildup, an anti-condensation barrier is incorporated. Skylights are included to allow natural light into the building, creating a well-lit and pleasant interior environment.
Rain Water:
To effectively manage rainwater, the building is equipped with galvanized steel guttering and downpipes. These components have undergone a hot-dipped Plastisol coating process, ensuring durability and resistance to corrosion. They efficiently collect and redirect rainwater away from the building, protecting its foundation.
Fixings:
All the necessary fixings are provided for easy installation. This includes coloured cap-less finishing screws, bolt sets, masonry anchors, screw caps, and brackets. These fixings are essential for securely erecting the building, ensuring stability and longevity.
Framing:
The building's framework is constructed using cold rolled Cee-section columns and rafters. Top-hat sections are utilized as purlins, offering structural support and strength. All framework components are hot-dipped galvanized steel, adhering to the BS EN 10346:2009 Fe E390G-Z275 standard. The sections are designed according to the requirements of BS EN 1993-1-3:2006, incorporating rational analysis and component testing for optimal performance and reliability.
