Building Description:
This single skin building offers a compact and functional space, designed for various purposes. With its sturdy construction and practical features, it provides a reliable and versatile solution.
Dimensions: The building measures 3m x 4.5m x 3.6m to the eaves, providing a compact yet spacious interior. The roof features a 10-degree pitch, allowing for efficient water drainage and contributing to the overall aesthetic appeal of the structure.
Doors: The building is equipped with a manually operated roller door measuring 3000mm x 2100mm. This roller door offers convenient access for vehicles, equipment, or goods. Additionally, a secure personnel access (PA) door with a 12-point locking system is included, ensuring controlled entry and security for individuals.
Wall Detail: The walls are constructed using 24mm box profile wall cladding, providing a sturdy and durable single skin structure. The wall cladding consists of plastisol-coated steel sheeting, which offers excellent resistance to weather elements and ensures long-lasting performance. This protective layer enhances the building’s durability and protects against external factors.
Roof Detail: The roof is designed with 30mm box profile roof cladding in a single skin configuration. The roof cladding is made of plastisol-coated steel sheeting, providing durability and protection against external elements. The 10-degree pitch facilitates efficient water drainage, while an anti-condensation barrier helps prevent condensation buildup within the building. Skylights are incorporated into the roof design, allowing natural light to illuminate the interior during the day.
Rainwater Management: To effectively manage rainwater, the building is equipped with guttering and downpipes made of galvanized steel. These components are hot dipped in a Plastisol coating, ensuring durability and resistance to corrosion. They efficiently collect rainwater and direct it away from the building, preventing water-related issues and preserving the structure’s integrity.
Base, Eaves & Ridge Fillers: The building package includes all necessary base, eaves, and ridge fillers. These fillers play a crucial role in sealing and insulating the structure, minimizing drafts and weather-related concerns. They contribute to maintaining a comfortable and well-protected interior environment.
Fixings: All required fixings, including screws (colored cap-less finishing screws), bolt sets, masonry anchors, screw caps, and brackets, are provided with the building. These fixings are essential for the construction process, ensuring a secure and reliable assembly.
Framing: The building’s framework is constructed using cold-rolled Cee-section columns and rafters. Top-hat sections are used as purlins, adding strength and stability to the structure. All framework components are made of hot-dipped galvanized steel, meeting the standards specified in BS EN 10346:2009 Fe E390G-Z275. The sections are designed according to the guidelines outlined in BS EN 1993-1-3:2006, incorporating rational analysis and component testing to ensure structural integrity.
